Recently I had the privilege of capturing the most serene and peaceful lifestyle session for the West family and their new baby girl, Elizabeth (great name, right?!)

Understanding the West’s vision and style through conversations helped me understand their desires for an easy going and lighthearted session. As soon as I heard Richard say “Alexa, play Elizabeth’s calming music” I knew we were absolutely on the same page! Ya’ll, I’ve never heard a more peaceful and relaxing playlist in my life! With every image captured I wanted to celebrate this beautiful, longed for daughter of theirs with authenticity and celebrate the beauty of simplicity.

As I reviewed the images post-session, I was reminded of the goodness of God and how He wants the very best for us and doesn’t waste our pain. This baby girl that they now held in their arms was longed for for six years but now a dream come true.

Being a part of this tranquil lifestyle session reaffirmed my belief in the power of authenticity and mindfulness in photography. It's not just about taking pictures; it's about creating visual stories that resonate on a deeper level, evoking emotions and preserving cherished moments for eternity.
